The
majority of rock and stone crushing occurs in the quarry industry
with a sizable percentage in the sand and gravel and recycling
industries. The reduction of blasted rock is normally done by
using jaw crushers with cone crushers and impactors
typically being used to reduce the aggregate sizes further where
necessary. In applications where there is a clay sizeable
content it is normal to remove this prior to crushing via a
vibrating grizzly. The advent of trailer and crawler mounted
crushers has enabled the crushing equipment to be taken to the face
rather than drawing the material to the more traditional static
crushing plant.
MH Screening Services offer the BL Pegson jaw and cone
crushers for both static and mobile applications.
Where crushed aggregates required to be have their shape improved
the Pilot Twister VSI range of crushers are ideal.
These work on the principle of a stone on stone impact thus
reduction and shaping can be achieved with relatively low wear
costs. The Twister has also been readily used to produce sand
from excess stone products on site.
The crushing of demolition material is also within the remit of the BL Pegson
jaw crushers. In
smaller projects the Rubblebuster SL2. Horizontal shaft
impactor can be used. Both
BL Pegson and the Rubblebuster products come in hook lift, wheeled
trailer and tracked chassis versions.
Where relatively soft concrete, bricks and clays are to be crushed
the ALLU Processing Bucket can be used in conjunction with an
excavator or wheel loader. |
